Title: Structural change point analysis for molecular seed developmental data

This work focuses on the metabolism of fatty acid synthesis and storage protein synthesis during plant seed development. The associated products are of high agronomical interest. The mechanisms involved in the generation of the seed storage products and the regulation thereof are, therefore, subject of many research studies. In order to improve the understanding of these processes, the detection of metabolic sites where the distribution of fluxes are altered, as well as that of the developmental stages, at which such alterations occur, is important. The latter are denoted as change points (CP). The time course of molecular quantities are described by different models before and after such a CP. Linear change point detection methods from the R package "strchange" are applied to time series data from Arabidopsis thaliana seeds. Results are presented for proteins, lipids and metabolites obtained with these methods.
